for up-to-date information on the Storm, I am creating a web site for
YOUR stories on how you fared from the storm.  Tell me your good
stories, your miseries, your heroes and your villians.  There are
millions of tales, and I promise that this site will remain from
hereon as a reminder of the Storm of the Century that united our
cities together against the storm.

ICE STORM OF '98

Day after day
   we coped with the ice
People pitched in
   and were really nice

The days dragged on
   the hours were long
The cold was so bitter
   more clothes to put on

Have to throw out the food
   from the fridge 'cause it smells
Nerves are on edge
   and some even yell

Help on the way
   how much longer to go
Gas prices go up
   just in time for the snow

To the people back home
   please don't use all your lights
Think of the others
   still having cold nights

Conserving the power
   would be really good
There are some still at home
   just praying for wood

I'll soon be back home
   and life will be great
But I'll never forget
   the storm of '98
