For two decades prior to the fall of communism, while the environmental 
movement became strong in western Europe, North America and Australia, it was 
denounced by communist regimes around the world as a "bourgeois indulgence."

I'm sorry - I cannot take anything that purports to support evironmentalism 
seriously if the source is a communist newspaper.  When communists actually 
had the power to do someting good in this respect they failed - your track 
record over 70 years completly undermines your nice talk today.  My response 
to this article is summed up in one word: "Bullshit."
