The common usage you refer to would be more accurately labelled as nationalism. The racism I referred to was the school of thought which tried to rate populations as being inferior or superior to each other by studying superficial physical traits. Extreme nationalists will often try to resurrect the discredited "science" of racism in order to justify their actions. The terms "race" and "nation" are too often confused. Nations are fairly easy to distinguish, but I have yet to see an unchallenged method of dividing humanity into races. Troy Lissoway
