> JOIN Real Men(*) IN SAYING: > > Stop Verbal Violence Against Women > >PROTEST: the Comedy Connection's decision to feature Andrew Dice Clay > (Nov. 16 & 17) for the 2nd time in 5 months, in the midst of > a major crisis of men's violence against women in Massachusetts > and across the country. > >Call Comedy Connection G.M. Frank Ahearn at 617-248-9700 and let him know >how you feel about "the best comedy club in the country" giving Dice Clay >such a prominent platform from which to spew aggression against women, >people of color, gays and lesbians, the homeless, etc. Hey folks, let's get to the root of the issue here. We've had over 200 years of this silly constitutional experiment called "Free Speech" and it has caused us nothing but grief all around. We should all get together to have that pesky First Admendment repealed so we can finally silence those who don't agree with the majority and not have to deal with all this unnecessary conflict in our society! Although Hitler, Stalin and countless Third Word dictators had bad PR for some of their other undertakings, you've got to give them credit for creating orderly societies by quashing the individual's right to voice an unpopular opinion. No, we shouldn't move towards becoming a totalitarian society like these people had; but we should take a page from their book and quash disenting opinion at the source because it only forms messy problems for our society to have to waste energy on. > Newsgroups: ne.general,ne.politics,alt.activism,bu.general,alt.fan.dice-man > Followup-To: alt.feminism My compliments to REAL MEN and Frank Welte in making this post. It was constructed in such a way as to go out to all sorts of newsgroups but if you replied, the reply would go only to "alt.feminism". A very clever way to squelch disent on the spot. Job well done and keep up the good work is stiffling open discussion on any topic you've already made up your mind about. America needs more people like you! God bless! - John "Card Carrying Member of the ACLU" Cooley
