But the dispatchers ought to evaluate before
calling out the bomb squad and everybody else.
The same applies if you are in a Florida diner
and overhear a few swarthy medical students
talking in Arabic.
At this point, Chicago is as usual trying to
keep up with Boston. Chicago PD Supt. Philip
Klein was on the radio saying how after yesterday,
when he found out that the mini-billboards were
in his city, he had to have a few cops spend the
whole night taking them down instead of going
after the bad guys.
Excuse me, Supt. Klein, if you already _knew_
they were harmless, why did you waste the resources?
Remember those Cosmic Wimpout stickers that used
to appear everywhere? "Killroy was here" graffiti?
"Back the Boston Bypass" and "You'll Love Judicial
Accountability" signs? Signs about as high up
as the Mooninite signs campaigning for Teamsters
union officials? Should we good citizens be the
eyes and ears and report all of that? And should
they send out the entire police force on such
reports?
