Real objective, aren't you?  The research to which I was referring in 
"research will reveal" is the research of those people involved in this thread 
as to how things really were.  I don't need to provide you with my own 
research, there is plenty of material available in history books, detailed 
dissertations, etc. to keep you busy long enough that you wouldn't have time 
to think about a movie that is the product of the industry that is only after 
your dollars and not at all concerned about your social concerns.  Something 
nice about research is that if one is interested in learning, one will learn.

From your comments throughout my post, it is obvious you cannot read with an 
open mind so you probably would learn nothing from it if you chose to read.

As for your comment that I should get a job, I happen to have a very good job 
with tremendous responsibility and am highly trusted by my employer and, as if 
it's any of your business, I earn a good salary as well.  My adult life 
started with none of the "advantages" that we women supposedly have (in your 
mind); I was blessed with intelligence, good sense and determination to learn 
and succeed; I have reached my success without hurting anyone or causing 
anyone any type of problems and, in fact, have helped many others to 
succeed during my journey.  But I'm sure you can conjure up negative comments 
about that as well.  Previous to working for this employer I successfully 
operated my own business for twelve years.  I have also raised three fine sons 
who are good citizens and successful in their chosen fields.  As for the way 
I've lived my life, you or anyone else will have to manufacture negative 
remarks to make about me as you won't find them made by the people who know me 
and have known me.....that includes women AND men!

As for being any kind of a feminist, I am a woman.  You might have met some, 
they are the people who go in the restroom with the picture on the door of the 
stick figure with the skirt. I believe in people accepting responsibility for 
themselves, their lives and their behavior.  I detest the pity parties that go 
on continuously and the attempts to lay blame at someone else's doorstep.  If 
you have problems, there is a very good chance you have only yourself to blame 
but you'll never admit it...it's always the other person's fault!  I stand by 
my original comment that we live in the best time in history and in one of the 
best countries in the world.  This is one of few countries the world in which 
any and every person has the potential of attaining whatever success they want 
and are willing to work to attain.

As for the attitude about how tough men have it, your trying to survive 200 
years ago would be interesting to observe.  I could survive, but I seriously 
doubt you would make it very far and that has nothing to do with gender, it 
has to do with attitude and acceptance of responsibility!  In fact, very 
little in life today has to do with gender--if one takes a close look, that 
becomes clear.  Your attacking me--while knowing absolutely nothing about 
me--only shows further how ignorant you are about life around you and our 
world in general.

It's a movie, for crying out loud.  Lighten up.

 cut all the groups except your own off the header and forward the post to me. 
 Most of the groups care nothing about this whole thread.
