In the interest of reducing bandwidth:
Discussion so far includes comments on taking classes to meet motos (or 
motss I'm sure!) and whether or not that's a waste of time, with the 
latest comments being in the vein of "of course you'd take one you're 
interested in anyhow or it's way stupid".

To which I add:

If you take a class that you're not interested in, you're very likely
meeting people who ARE interested in it, enough to take the class at
least... and would be wanting to do whatever-it-is (whether it's
programming or art or scuba-diving). So if you're not really into it, you
know ahead of time you have at least one thing not in common... which
seems really counterproductive to me. And why would THEY be interested in
YOU? Unless you're looking for an opposite... and they are too. Which
would be too coincidental. But then, this whole relationship thing seems
to be 99% coincidence anyhow. So maybe it'd work. 

Did I just argue with myself and lose?
