#METEOROLOGY is open for business on undernet irc. Tired of the same old met discussion channel? #METEOROLOGY encourages open discussion of models & current weather; even allows off-topic banter!!! /JOIN #METEOROLOGY & say "how's the weather?"

Hi Eric, What the devil is "#METEOROLOGY" and where is it located? And, by the way, how's the weather? Alex ericwl@shore.net wrote in message ... >#METEOROLOGY is open for business on undernet irc. #weather is the weather channel I started on IRC. It is a 24 hour weather-discussion group #meteorology came later. The more the merrier, but #weather is the more active group. To go to #weather, for a preview.. go to my web page: http://www.weatherman.com from there, you can actually just put a nickname into an open box on my page, and it will take you there automatically, works with most users.. give it a try Todd >What the devil is "#METEOROLOGY" and where is it located? >And, by the way, how's the weather? >Alex >ericwl@shore.net wrote in message ... >>#METEOROLOGY is open for business on undernet irc. Eric is referring to the more "iron-clad" policy of the worldwide weather channel: #weather on the Undernet IRC weather network, when he refers to off-topic banter. #weather is a large, frequented channel, and the channel manager that took over from me found it necessary in order to keep the channel organized to be very careful not to allow channel disruption. However, this may attract many folks on this group. As Eric said.. give #weather and #meteorology a try, the more weather channels on IRC the merrier. Todd

No thanks. I'll stick to #weather.
