At the Fall DECUS Symposium, Digital Equipment Corp. announced support
of a UNIX based product (V7m-11) for the PDP-11 family. This is of
particular interest to the SS & OS SIG within DECUS. We are looking
forward to increased interest and participation at future symposia, and
are particularly interested in soliciting papers for the Spring Symposium
to be held May 23-27, 1983, in St.Louis, Mo. The following are some of
the topics in which recent attendees expressed interest:

	Operating System Features and Comparisons
		(Flavors of UNIX)
Life with UNIX - Sans Source
	Ergonomics:
The Flavors of User Interface to UNIX
	Multi-Operating System Apps.
		(UNIX talks to the World)
	UNIX Networking Issues
Issues for the (New) UNIX System Manager

This is just a brief list of suggestions. Feel free to contribute any
ideas which you may have. SS & OS is interested in a broad range of
Language and Operating System topics.
