I'm interested in chain coding the zero crossings of an image
bandpass (bitmap image). Can some one direct me to some algorithms
that will generate chain codes for an arbitrary bit map image? I have
a particular interest in raster scan approaches since I'd like to
implement the algorithm in hardware but any technique is better than
none.

thanx,
