Well, from talking with the people at Definicon, I was able to dig
up the results to the Dhrystone benchmark. They say it was 1500 Dhry/sec
using the 11/11/85 dated version of the compiler ( it has been revised,
but I do not know the results of the program with the latest version ).
On the VAX 11/780 here at the astronomy dept., I get between 860 and 1200
Dhry/sec with load averages (respectively) of 3.5 and 2.0 (under 4.2 BSD
UNIX). Someone out there must have a board configured for running the
benchmark (that is, they have an interupt control unit). Please let
us out here know.

Someone was quoting benchmarks regarding the 32xxx. They said it got
around 1500. Other dhrystone benchmarks of interest might be:
Vax780 - Unix4.3 1646 1662
Sun-3 68020-16Mhz Sun4.2 V3 3333 3571
Sun-2 68010-10Mhz standalone 1219 1315

I would be *very* interested in knowing more about the architecture of this beasty. It seems to get so far ahead of any other 320?? benchmark.... Or is it their C compiler that works these wonders? -- Jack Jansen, jack@mcvax.UUCP The shell is my oyster.
