2 column output with AtariWriter

I am attempting to get 2 column output with
AtariWriter and a Gemini 10X printer.  I follow the
instructions in the AtariWriter manual - set
new margins - but all I get is one column.  The
single column is as narrow as the first column
should be, but the second column never show up.
The correct printer driver is also loaded when I am
doing this.

Anyone out there ever get 2 columns with AtariWriter?
Any suggestions?
