Does anyone know if a monochrome ST can be used with a Commodore 1702
RGB monitor (after unplugging the monochrome monitor of course)?
Another way of stating this question: Is the color output of the ST so
unusual that a non-Atari color monitor cannot be used?
Thanks.

*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE ***
Here is a simple circuit that I picket off compuserve a while back
to hook a ST to an Analog RGB (not digital or RGBI monitors that
are hooked to Ibms and te like) monitor. I have not tred it myself,
but I have hear from other people that it works.NOTE: those
resistors are supposed to be important, so don't skip them.
From Steve Katz:
Hi again! Well... The resistors are 1.2K and are not tied to ground, but are in
line (I think thats what you call it).
Atari RGB Monitor
Pin Signal Signal
7 R------------~~~~------------R monitor
6 G------------~~~~------------G
10 B------------~~~~------------B
9 H Sync-----------------------H sync
12 V Sync-----------------------V sync
13 Ground-----------------------Ground
with ~~~~ meaning 1.2K resistor (Brown Red Red).
It works as I am using it right now! Good luck..SSFN!
