I would like to get a correct termcap for the VT52 emulator in the ST. I don't mind trying to generate it myself, but I have no idea what characters the mainframe needs to send to the ST (except the insert/delete line that was posted earlier). It seems like the termcap for the actual VT52 isn't quite correct. Now for the availability question: How long has it taken YOU to get the Development Kit, and how exactly did you go about it? Please mail the answers to me, thanx. Todd Fujinaka !mit-eddie!media-lab!todd (I think) !mit-athena!nessus!fujinaka (I'm sure of)

I use this termcap everyday with emacs, vi , rn, vnews ... It has standout, insert/delete line but no insert/delete char. st|ST|atari st:\ :bs:cd=\EJ:ce=\EK:cl=\EH\EJ:cm=\EY%+ %+ :co#80:li#25:nd=\EC:\ :pt:sr=\EI:up=\EA:ku=\EA:kd=\EB:kr=\EC:kl=\ED:\ :do=\EB:\ :so=\Ep:se=\Eq:dl=\EM:al=\EL:am: -- ARPA: ravi@eneevax.umd.edu UUCP: [seismo,allegra]!umcp-cs!eneevax!ravi

Atari says on the phone (if you can get through) to send them a cashier's check or money order for the ST Developer KIT. Address is Atari Corp, Attn.: Richard I. Frick, 1196 Borregas Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086. At least one "full-service" computer store which carries the ST had no idea of the details, and could only say "Call Atari." They did know the cost, as has been mentioned here, $300. Their knowledge of kit contents was minimal. On the phone Atari quoted 4000 as the number of pages of documentation included. -------
