For what it is worth, a short statement about OSS BASIC XL:

I am impressed with this cartridge.  It is compatible with Atari's Basic;
it has renumbering, auto-line numbering, variable cross referencing,
block line delete, string arrays, player missle support, cleaner support
for joystick input, ...  AND  it executes faster than Atari Basic (I ran
Chicken and couldn't see some of the cars as they zipped across the
screen!!)
