Would someone please tell me in what order the programs in the AUTO
folder run at bootup? I think I've tried every combination possible
(times, names), but I still can't figure it out - the same program
*always* boots first! Thanks in advance,
They are supposed to run in the order in which they appear in the
folder. This is *not* they order that the desktop lists them, and it is
only the order in which they were written if nothing has been deleted.
(A deleted file opens up a "slot" into which the next file is placed.)
There is no way to list the actual order of files from the desktop, but
some command shells have a folder list command that lists the files in
their native order rather than sorting them first. So to be safe, start
with an empty AUTO folder and then copy in the files in the order that
you want them to run.
