We are not sure what happened here at Zehntel.  The "newsoutput" program
is putting out repetitive copies of notes, so we have removed it from our
crontab.  ("newsoutput" is the program that moves notes from the notesfile
system into the news system.)  I suspect corrupted article dates in one of our
notesfiles (or several of them actualy).  I am going to write a program to
dump the actual data in the index files and see what I can see.

Sorry for the inconvenience.  Most of us were gone for the Christmas holiday
and didn't notice until too late...
