zinfandel!mark has recently sent three notes (responses) which do not
conform to notesfile formats.  They all have no body and lack the apparently
obligitory blank line after the author and date.

The reason I noticed is that newsinput hangs forever trying to read
that missing newline - while (getc() != '\n') chew_up_the_cpu_forever;

All the while (...) ; statements I saw in newsinput make me nervous.
We should be more defensive programmers.

I'd be curious where the problem with the missing bodies lies.
