               EIGHTH AUSTRALIAN COMPUTER SCIENCE CONFERENCE

                                   ACSC-8

                       MELBOURNE, 6-8 FEBRUARY, 1985

                   FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS


The Eighth Australian Computer Science Conference (ACSC-8) will be  held  at
the  University  of Melbourne, 6-8 February 1985. It is being jointly organ-
ised by the University of Melbourne and Monash University.

Persons interested in ACSC-8, should complete the form below (or a photocopy
of it), and send it to the conference secretary at the address below.

Papers on original work in any area of Computer Science are invited.

Intending authors are requested to submit three copies of an  eight  to  ten
page  paper in near-final form as soon as possible, but no later than 4 Sep-
tember.  All submissions will be  refereed.  Authors  will  be  notified  of
acceptance  or  rejection  by  16  November.  Final  camera-ready papers are
required by 14 December.

Instructions to Authors

1.   The paper should contain no  more  than  10  single  spaced,  A4  pages
     including  the  title,  author's name and affiliation, and a 100 to 200
     word abstract.

2.   Title, author information and abstract should *not* be  on  a  separate
     cover page.

3.   Type with side margins of 2.5cm, top margin of 3cm and bottom margin of
     2.5cm.
