Tim Pierce is both abrasive and wrong about trn 2.2. Though the version is, in fact, not new, the patch to fix the anomalous behavior is quite recent. It's only in the last month or less that starting a new topic starts a new thread, due to the patch fix. Before that, trn 2.2 started a new topic in the existing thread, unless one used the $ key to go to the end of the threads in a particular newsgroup. Being mistaken about facts is not an offense, but a human error, easily rectified.. Being both rude and offensive, as well as being mistaken, is the sign of a fool, and is usually irremediable.
