The results I reported were obtained on a SPARCstation 10,
SuperSPARC, SunOS 4.1.3_beta_1.2, 40 Mhz 128 MB RAM, 1.3 GB disk.
Compilation was made with: acc -O4 -Bstatic

Since I have not been able to run gcc on either the HP9000/735 or the
Sun SS10 I cannot comment on this.
