What? Are you somehow suggesting that it is easier for me to hack into
your mailbox when you are online than when you are not. If so, then you
are wrong. Your mailbox sits on a computer in San Jose and it is
neither easier nor harder to hack when you are logged on than when you
are not logged on.
Of course, you may copy some of the mail to your hard disk and then
remove it from Netcom's system, but, assuming you are not running Unix
on your dial-in machine, hacking into that is virtually impossible.
(Yes, theoretically, it is more difficult if you are logged off than if
you are logged on :), but the risk is so close to zero anyway that
there is a much, much greater chance that someone would break into your
house to read your E-Mail.)
Also, do you just put "Michael & Michelle Martinez" on you account name
for looks, or do Michael and Michelle both use the account, in which
case you are violating the terms and conditions.
