[I'm reposting this to n.a.p since a lot of the interested parties may
 not get eunet.misc.]

(See my posting in news.lists of Sunday morning.)  Is this right?

Christophe Wolfhugel <Christophe.Wolfhugel@grasp.insa-lyon.fr> points
out that strictly speaking `eunet' is an organisation, not a region.
So is there a distribution that really just means `Europe' without
overtones?  Should we invent one (`eu' perhaps)?  And perhaps a
matching hierarchy?

(And I include non-EC counties in `eu', so perhaps we should have `ec'
as well for issues just concerning EC countries.)

Please mail or post replies.  I'm happy to invent and carry an `eu.*'
or `ec.*' hierarchy to get it going, and share it with anyone over mail
or UUCP that wants to participate.

Well this is not exactly news, is it?

Why invent something new when the old solution has been working for
6-8 years without problems?
