Perhaps your network software (and on the remote end, too, since their innxmit
is hanging) is returning some uncommon error code that innd does not
recognize.  Wait for the hang to happen again and try doing a ping or
other network diagnostic between the two hosts.

If your network software returns any kind of error code back from the
read or write syscalls, then innd will notice and take the right action.

I believe that I have Pyramid's have a problem along these lines.
