Not knowing the cost is indeed a major factor stopping people from getting such a service. Netnews is a one-to-many medium, and satellite feeds are indeed a superbly efficient mechanism of distribution for the downward link. After all, netnews is already flowing on many point-to-point links that happen to be going via satellite -- what a waste. A Satellite feed, with a phone-line back channel to request articles that didn't make, it and to send out local postings and e-mail should be a big win. Instant delivery for a flat fee anywhere in the country. -- Brad Templeton, ClariNet Communications Corp. -- Sunnyvale, CA 408/296-0366
