Dear postmaster, 
  there's a commercial company posting advertisements through your
site.  You ought to remind them that the academic part of the
Internet is not to be used for commercial purposes.  Judging by
the number of copies I've received at various accounts, I suspect
they're sending these ads to *everybody* who's ever posted a
question in some of the comp newsgroups.

I can easily delete unwanted mail, but I have to *pay* real money
for incoming mail and frankly I object.  If this sort of thing
isn't stomped on when it starts the nets will become unusable.
