From that point of view, alt.graphics was "stopped" the day I edited
the old cnews newgroup script to filter out alt requests from being
automatically handled, and continued to be "stopped" when I created a
newgroupperm file for the new cnews indicating the same policy.  The
status of that group isn't being changed by those articles at this
site.  What I want to see "stopped" is the mail messages I receive
about this, the forging of control messages, and the concept of
non-removable alt groups.

Jef Poskanzer's automated rmgroups are a pain, but at least they
aren't forgeries and there's a small amount of logic to his position.
I still want to see a clue forced into the anatomy of the person
forging the newgroups (apparently Bruce Becker), if not down his
throat then up the other end which appears to be a more direct route
to his brain anyway.
