Has anyone encountered this problem before?....

>relaynews: article number (100000) too big for group `soc.motss' active field of 5 digits

Are the article filing numbers limited to a 5 char field?  I've been 
hunting through some of the src for relaynews and its associated progs, but
haven't found anything yet.
