OK, one last point.

If one compares with other media (newspapers for example) there is
much more advertising there than what people want to see, all else
being equal. That's why advertising space has to be paid for. 

It's this "pay for play" that there won't be with advertising in a
Usenet-type group, and that's why I suggested linking advertising with
editorial material (financing the other material).
