Let me post here a copy of a letter I just sent to John De Armond.
Usenet is an anarchy which responds to abuses by isolation. So, if
the situation persists, maybe Usenet could react.

Hello, John. You are willingfully and intentionnally posting many non
sources articles to alt.sources, and doing so, you are creating a
discomfort in this newsgroup which affects me. I have personnaly
nothing to do in your quarrels, and would prefer that you leave me
alone.

I'm sending a copy of this letter to dixie.com Postmaster and to
news.admin. With some luck, your Postmaster will be able to bring you
back to reason, or else, eradicate you from his/her system. If
dixie.com is unable to take hold of the situation you create, the next
step would be lobbying for dixie.com isolation. We might eventually
address this request to dixie.com neighbours and to the Internet
registry.

There is no 'usenet' to react. Anyway, JGdeA is a wellknown usenet loudmouth
who craves attention. The usual answer to such morons is ignore them
completely and they'll eventually get bored and go away.

*Chuckle* dickbrain *is* dixie.com - it's his usenet access
company. I pity his customers, I really do. You can try
mailing the postmaster at the next couple of sites upstream but
really I don't think he's worth the effort. I just ignore his
inflammatory posts nowadays even though it gives him the delusion
of thinking he's had the last word.

Usenet already has...or didn't you see the "sendsys" bomb?

If you don't like him, might I suggest that you...uh...*ignore* him?

By now, you should have found out that John de Armond is not only
postmaster@dixie.com, he is also root@dixie.com, owner of the system,
and operator.

Aren't you accelerating things a little quickly? You should at least
contact an "offender" two or three times if they're doing something
you just disagree with, before trying their postmaster. Trying to
instigate cutting them off (virtually impossible, IMHO) over a few
postings you consider inappropriate for a group is going way overboard.

If your software won't support a killfile, either get some which does
or get accustomed to using your "n" key.

Actually thre is a 'usenet' to react. The "usenet" is all of us and
if one individual is doing something on the net which is being
disruptive to the whole usenet community then the sites
providing that access to dixie.com should take action. This is all
part of the agreements made when a site gets a feed and then becomes
a host... there is a certain amount of responsibility which goes with
that status.

I am sure if enough people complained to the site providing the news feed
to dixie.com some action will be taken.

Usenet is a privilege and NOT a RIGHT!

Okay, Robert. Pull out your copy of the Standard Usenet Newsfeed
Contract. See any clause about "disruptive users"? No? I didn't
think so.

Hello...

	Isn't jgd@dixie.com == postmaster@dixie.com...I thought that
John was the owner/sysadm of dixie. Sort of like sending email to
postmaster at my system complaining about something I did...I'm
postmaster, the complaint would fall on deaf ears (well, here it
wouldn't, but there it might) since the one you are complaining to
is the same that you are complaining about :)

I find it interesting that every time a disagreement pops up on the Usenet,
some little control freak decides it's time to get somone's feed cut. Why
don't you instead just GET A LIFE!!
