reed.edu just received a sendsys bomb in the name of "jgd@dixie.com".
This user has been engaged in a really annoying argument about his
right to post nonsense to alt.sources, and it appears that someone has
retaliated. Here's the sendsys, as we received it:

It's pretty clear that someone telnetted to the NNTP port on
sol.ctr.columbia.edu to do this. This machine allows anyone on the Internet
to post via their NNTP port so it is probably futile to try and track
it via Path: headers.

It could be a legitimate user on a system near sol.ctr.columbia.edu, as
well as anyone else on the common path. (I just tested it on a local news
group, and our server allows me to submit invalid addresses for any of
From:, Sender:, and Path:)
