We seem to be in a not so atypical situation. We have
users that use trumpet to read news on PCs. The problem
we face is that trumpet seems to die if there are more
than about 3500 news groups (we have about 4500).

What do most sites do about this? Run a different PC news
reader? Don't run a PC news reader? Carry less news?

This last alternative is thorney...Who decides what is
	(is not) carried...

	Thanks

	Dave
