G'day mates, The other day I was looking for some good words re potential virus problems, and posted a message to a group called comp.virus as being a likely source of info. Message never showed up. Indeed nothing ever does show up in this group these days! Where has it gone -- or what has replaced it? IIRC it was moderated group some years ago. I imagine it still is, hence nothing happens because the moderator is ... what? Thanks in anticipation for any pointers. Cheers, Phred. -- ppnerkDELETE@THISyahoo.com.INVALID

There are many other groups under alt.* as well. No idea how active they are but I'm subscribing to them now (see below). > Message never showed up. It loks very much as though the moderator is AWOL so no postings can get through. > IIRC it was moderated group some years ago. It is possible to revive dead groups and I'd be happy to help get this one going again but would need someone to act as comoderator to share the work and cover if I'm away. Would you be interested? If I can get hosting where I hope to then it takes nothing more than an ability to send and receive e-mail. There appears to have been some discussion in May 2000 about doing something. It is probably worth reading. -- Graham Drabble If you're interested in what goes on in other groups or want to find an interesting group to read then check news.groups.reviews for what others have to say or contribute a review for others to read.
