I am trying to configure INN 1.4 for SCO UNIX SYSVR3.2v4.2 and the innd daemon won't load, leaving the following messages in my syslog file: innd: ME descriptors 60 innd: ME outgoing 45 innd: cant dbminit ME no such file or directory My newsfeeds file is as follows: ME:*:: I figured, just keep it simple until it works. In all the faqs, tutorials, etc., I can find no references to the errors I'm getting. Before I tear the rest of my hair out, I will see if any of you fine folks can help me. I think the error means your history file is missing. -- Murray S. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
It seems that you might have some history database files(s) lost.
-> check and see if all the three files exist :
$(NEWSLIB)/history
$(NEWSLIB)/history.dir
$(NEWSLIB)/history.pag
PS. It is documented in the INN FAQ, part 2.
