For some time our system manager has been grumbling about "some program that fills up the /usr partition 4 times daily." It would fill up the remaining 3.5Mb, then exit, without a trace, having deleted it 3.5Mb woth of file(s). Lo and behold it was nnspew that was the culprit. We found out that it wants to write out a temporary file of OVER 8 Mb's four times daily! We solved the problem by recompiling with a different TMPDIR, where we had an extra 8Mb, but it's quite annoying that it needs so much, as well as that it left no trace of itself having caused any problems - including in the Log file... -- Kurt Swanson, Dept. of Computer Science, Lunds universitet.
