When one spends a lot of time reading articles in nn, news articles may arrive, but nn will not recognize them. Thus it is very common that after an nn session, one ought to type 'nn' again in order to be able to read the new articles. (Even the lowly rn allows you to recycle through subscribed groups at the end). Thus, (having received not one reply to my previous post), I set out & came up with the following solution: #! /bin/sh while nncheck > /dev/null ; do nn; done Call this NN. Thus nn will be cycled until no unread articles remain. Of course this can be annoying if you intentionally leave unread articles, but in such case, nncheck, and the ensuing unix shell stuff, leaves one enough time to ^C out of the loop. The hardest part is trying to remember to type NN instead of nn... Good luck... -- Kurt Swanson, Dept. of Computer Science, Lunds universitet.
