:So, how many out there are afflicted with Notes? We're definitely infected. We picked it up in 1986 to provide conferencing for PeaceNet and later EcoNet (online services for peace and environmental groups). I'd used notesfile on Plato, and knew it was much better for focused discussion than the news readers that existed at the time. We did so much hacking to make notes "user friendly", less modey, secure, usable over slow modems/X.25, multilingual, etc, etc, that now it's hard to junk (also, a worldwide user base of 10K people makes it hard to replace).
