Is there any way to create more than one .newsrc file containing a common set of news groups to enter, and go into News using any one of the different newsrc files? Folks moving off of Notes used to use "notes -f thisfile" or "notes -f thatfile"depending on which set of groups they wanted to read. For example, all the hp.* groups in on file and all the alt.* groups in another. Or should these guys just put their groups in a special order inside the group selection menu and leave it at that? Thanks in advance, Sherri Cornejo Roseville, Ca - HP email = sherric@hprpcd.rose.hp.com phone = 916-786-4225

Yes and no. In the present release you can use a wildcard pattern from the command line (ie. tin *.sources.*) to read a subset of all the groups. In the next release you will be able to read in mutiple newsrc files so that you can also access news from multiple news servers within the same session. Iain
