Hi

I am in the process of buying a Honda Civic and searching for a great
honda mechanic in the east bay to diagnose some difficult problems.

The current owner says that 5% OF THE TIME IT DOES NOT STArt right up,
but requires a couple of minutes of trying. Sounds like it turns over,
just does not get a spark, although he thinks it is not getting fuel.

The problem was much worse, and the Honda dealership replaced the
starter motor and found a coolant leak when they were investigating
this. They also replaced a fuel hose. And the problem is now reduced to
that described above.

The dealer recomended changing some bearings at a cost of $500, which he
did not do as a friend told him the parts in question had no bearings.

The car is a 1990 station wagon, front wheel drive.

Anyone know how much it costs to install Cruise Control and what's the
best approach to doing that?

Any good experiences / recommendations?

Please e-mail replies as well as posting them.

Thanks

Geoff
