That Mr. Bush was (or even is) in the oil business is not the same as saying he is at the head of a conspiracy to increase your gas bill. Sure is a comfort to make up a bogey man story when things happen that you don't understand. (Kind of the idea behind religions in general.) Utility deregulation has been happening under Mr. Clinton for the last several years. Geopolitics involving oil producing states has been going on under Mr. Clinton for many years. Gasoline prices spiked (then abated), long before the election. So was Bush to blame for the rise, and Clinton to be credited for the fall back? I take it you are a supporter of the Sore/Loserman ticket. For the next 8 years anything you don't like will be Bush's fault, and of course all would have been perfect if only Gore was president.... -v.
