Adelle, my email to you bounced (HARD!). Anyway, here's the
info:
The only FD controllers I have that provide for 1.2 MB and 1.44
MB floppy drives are sitting in the two assembled (and tested!)
machines. I don't really want to take the beasts apart!
One machine belongs to a friend of mine who wants to sell it:
Fountain 4.77/8 Mhz XT,
640K memory
One 1.2 MB floppy
256K EGA color adaptor
CGA Monitor
Microsoft bus mouse (older style, not the modern sleek one)
Standard XT keyboard
30 MB Seagate MFM hard drive
DOS 3.3
She wants to get $350 for it if possible, or best offer...
The second machine is mine:
True Blue IBM 4.77 Mhz XT,
640K memory
One 1.2 MB floppy, one 360K floppy
256K EGA color adaptor
CGA Monitor
Standard IBM XT Keyboard
10 MB Segate MFM hard drive
DOS 3.1
I'd like to get $250 for this one if possible, or best
offer...
Reference: I picked up the high-density controller at a local computer
store for $64.99 ...
Perhaps you could buy one of the above machines (spare parts source for
your XT? 8^) ....
If interested, call me after 6P.M. at (908) 463-3273.
