Dear reader, Thnx for trying to offer me some help. I have a problem connecting with ISDN to my provider. I do get a connection but it hangs up way too quickly. In my syslog I get the following two errors: modprobe: Can't locate module net-pf-5 modprobe: Can't locate module net-pf-4 But I don't know of any of these modules or where to get them. Do you know something about it? I use Linux slackware, kernel 2.0.33, a Teles 16.3 ISDN-adapter. All test with the hardware passed, like using minicom to call yourself. This problem occurs when I use the modem-emulation, for this I use the isdn4linux-package. I tried to connect through syncPPP en ipppd, but somehow the connection fails to come up. This could be because my pap-secrets doesn't have the right layout. Do you how is should be correct? As far as I know I did it correctly. Please help me I tried anything I could think of, Aschwin van der Woude Alias : Drizzt

My /etc/conf.modules contains, amongst other entries: alias net-pf-3 off # no ax25 alias net-pf-4 off # no ipx alias net-pf-5 off # no appletalk I can't remember when I added those, but they'll stay until there's a reason to remove them. :-) -- John F Hall
