TSpaces Release 2.0 is now available. It adds Transaction support along with
numerous fixes and minor enhancements

TSpaces is a set of network communication buffers called tuple spaces and a
set of APIs (and classes that implement the API) for accessing those buffers.
TSpaces allows heterogeneous, Java-enabled devices to exchange data with
little programming effort. The package includes server software that
implements the buffers and client software for accessing the buffers.
TSpaces provides group communication services, database services, URL-based
file transfer services, and event notification services. With its small
footprint, it is ideal for bringing network services to small and embedded
systems; for example, it brings the power of the network to palm devices,
making them full-fledged network computers capable of controlling printers
and other networked devices.

New Java Technology added(10/30) to alphaWorks
RuleBasedNumberFormat
http://www.alphaWorks.ibm.com/formula/RBNF
Platforms: [ All Java Enabled Plaform ]
RuleBasedNumberFormat was originally written to provide an
internationalizable way of writing out numeric values in words.
Different languages vary considerably in how they express numbers.
Traditionally, applications that needed to spell out numeric quantities
in words simply had a function that did this, and this function had to
be rewritten foreach language the program was localized for.
RuleBasedNumberFormat provides a way to put number-spellout descriptions
into resources, saving you from having to recompile your program for each
localized version. We provide number-spellout rules
for several common languages.
