Natuurlijk kun je een emulator gebruiken als Wabi of Wine.

Er is ook een Visual Basic kloon Instant Basic, die werkt onder Linux,
check out http://www.halcyonsoft.com/

Om een minofmeer serieuze applicatie te maken in Visual Basic gebruik ik
zoveel Windows API calls, dat het resultaat enkel werkt onder Win NT
versie 4.0.
