Hallo,

Ik gebruik ksh. (/etc/passwd)

In RH6.0:
	> xterm -ls

In RH6.1:
	> xterm -ls
		. /etc/profile
		. ~/.profile
	dan werkt het prima.

	Hier de meldingen:
		en: unknown locale
		/etc/profile: line 6: syntax error: `"' unmatched
		.profile: line 3: set": not found

/etc/profile:
-------------
# /etc/profile

# System wide environment and startup programs
# Functions and aliases go in /etc/bashrc

export PATH=$PATH:/usr/X11R6/bin:/home/swdev/bin
PS1="[\u@\h \W]\\$ "

ulimit -c 0
<snip>

/etc/.profile:
--------------
# Set several variable values and export all variables

set -a # Export all variables automatically
set -o nolog # No function definitions in .history file
HOSTNAME=$(hostname)        # System name
LESS=-EgiM                  # Options for less
PAGER=less # Pager for man, POST, etc.
umask 022 # Set file mode creation mask
TMOUT=0 # kill shell after inactivity of one hour
CDPATH=.:..:../..:../../..:../../../..:../../../../..:$HOME
<snip>

Bedankt,

jan
