Bram Van Grimbergen (bram@ehto.be) eloquently uttered the following words : : campagne gezien. Je zegt toch ook niet dat Coca Cola (dat misschien een nog : groter monopolie heeft in haar sector) maar moet opdoeken ....? FF tussendoor. Coca Cola heeft helemaal geen monopolie in zijn sector. OK, hier in Belgie is het voor een pepsi-drinker als ik lastig om pepsi te vinden, maar als je naar de states gaat, wordt het helemaal anders... Kortom : je kan misschien zeggen dat coca cola een de facto monopolie heeft als je naar de belgische situatie kijkt, maar als je globaal kijkt... MS daarentegen heeft een globaal de facto monopolie. En neen, ms moet niet opdoeken. Microsoft moet opsplitsen in verschillende bedrijfjes, net zoals Bell Telephone opgesplitst is in verschillen Baby Bells... Zelfs in de meest liberale economie ter wereld wordt het principe van monopolie niet aanvaard. Waarom denk je dat Bill Gates plots geld in Apple pompt... Puur om ervoor te zorgen dat hij kan zeggen dat er nog een concurrent is. Als Apple zou verdwijnen, dan zit Bill pas echt in deep shit.
