		Call For Votes: eunet.cyberrights
		=================================

Now that the Infobahn is beginning to take shape, it would
be a good idea to think about the consequences for our society.
In several European countries, eff-like organisations have been
founded and discussions are beginning to take place.
A European newsgroup could be used to discuss the issues
on a european level, inform people about what's happening in
other countries and coordinate actions, which may be desirable
because much of today's legislation comes from the EU.
The newsgroup will be unmoderated.

The RFD had the following results:

eunet.cyberrights Information society and public interests

Discussions about all aspects of the information society.
Developments at both the government and the commercial sector,
and the role on the average citizen can be discussed.
The group is intended for the whole of Europe, but focuses on
 the European Union.

The vote begins on Friday 17 March 5 pm CET, the vote ends on Friday 31 March
at 5 pm CET. The results will be posted on eunet.misc and nlnet.announce.
Please note that this is not an anonymous vote, the results will contain
the names, e-mail addresses and votes of the participants.

You can vote by sending e-mail to mwharing@cs.vu.nl with subject:
"I vote YES on eunet.cyberrights" or "I vote NO on eunet.cyberrights"
Please do not include any text in the body of your mail.
