MAKE YOUR OWN WINDOWS HELP FILES! A Windows help file is actually very powerful - Did you know, for example, that you can get it to display your help file using up to five secondary windows of different shapes and sizes, in addition to the main window, and have any background colour you like behind the text of any window? Did you know that you can create customised buttons to be added to the button bar? Did you know that it is also possible to add your own extra custom drop-down menus to the Window's menu bar? Both main and secondary windows can have 'non-scrolling' regions for titles and any information that you don't want to disappear when the topic is scrolled up! In addition these regions can have individual background colours of their own. Wide tables or similar text that shouldn't be word-wrapped on display can be made into a 'no word-wrap' region, forcing WinHelp's horizontal scroll bar. Bitmap pictures that 'do things' can be added with the necessary topic jumps or WinHelp macro calls. Conventional topic jumps and hot-spot bitmaps can also be made to load other help files, execute programs and run macros! Your help file can be made to do these things, using Help File Maker. Help File Maker is a complete package for making professional Windows help (*.HLP) files. It was created to combine the best features of some other help file compilers then available; some British, some from the US. Help File Maker Includes... Help File Maker WYSIWYG word processor, spell checker and dictionary. Microsoft Help Compilers V3.0 and V3.1. Help Compiler Reference Help (what all the WinHelp macros do, etc.). Hot-Spot bitmap (SHG) Editor. Hot-Spot Editor Help. Easy to use Help Project files copier for making back-ups, etc. The only other software you will need is Windows Paintbrush or similar to process bitmap images. --------------------------------------------------------------------- | SEE MONITOR INTERNET AT http://www.monitor.co.uk FOR MORE INFO | --------------------------------------------------------------------- (Amateur Radio section) Demo now available to download (HELPMAKE.ZIP).
