Because of the effort from a lot of clever scientists we now know
a lot about our recent history. The 2008 book by the Canadian
environmentalist Lawrence Solomon is full of lies:

How can people like Lawrence Solomon and Johan S. Tauler be so
ignorant that they do not understand this figure?
The figure tell us that during the last 400 000 years we had a
very fixed scedule for climate change. It was commanded by the sun.
Because of changes in the orbit of the earth we got a change of climate
and a change of sealevel every 100 000 years.

Something new appeared in the lifetime of Johan S. Tauler and Jo Stein.
We can see it from the figure of NASA. The spike in CO2 following 1950
has created a warming surplus. Most of the increased warming has gone
into the sea. In the future the warm sea will cause the ice to melt
and we will get sealevel rise. During the last 20 000 years sealevel
rose by 132 meter because CO2 then rose from 180 ppm to 280 ppm..

We do not yet know how much or how fast the new sealevel will rise,
we only know that only man can do anything to prevent it. Man can use
science to make predictions about the future. Too bad that we do not 
have enough scientists to outnumber the idiots.
