From a Darwinian point of view, birth-order differences should be extensive
among siblings. Sibling-sibling conflict is the flip side of parent-
offspring conflict, one of several fundamental Darwinian conflicts.
Based on a Darwinian perspective, birth-order differences should exist
for each of the Big Five personality dimensions. A meta-analytic
survey of the literature confirms this prediction. So does a study
of 4,000 participants in 28 major scientific revolutions.
